Senior lawyer should be Broad-minded

It is said by many people that Law is a vibrant, ever-changing and rewarding field of study. Many people consider LL.B. (Hons) degree as one of the finest qualifications that should be obtained because of the skills it develops in a person. That’s why demand of law as a subject of study has increased manifold in recent years.

Although legal profession is a prestigious and persistence profession, but becoming a good lawyer is a tough job. To become a good lawyer, one has to suffer a lot of difficulties because of absence of broadness of senior lawyer. There are many talented law graduates in our country who have a strong academic background. Nevertheless, it’s a matter sorrow that whenever they enter into the practical legal profession i.e. in court, they have to face many problems. We know that theoretical legal knowledge is not sufficient to become a good lawyer. To become a good lawyer, one has to know about the rules and regulations of court, submission, drafting and so on. There are many eminent senior lawyers in our country who don’t provide support enough to junior lawyer. They only want their issue or kin would be a good lawyer in near future. That’s why those junior law graduates have no relative and known lawyer; they have to suffer many difficulties. As a result, they would become frustrated and they joined into common job like as customer manager, marketing manager of different cell company and multinational company or join as an officer in private bank and so on. It is a great achievement of present interim government that the step of independence of judiciary which is confirmed on 1^st November, 2007. This step is admirable by common people. Almost 1000000 cases are pending still now in the different courts of Bangladesh including Supreme Court. To solve these cases, the number of good lawyers as well as judges should be increased. But unfortunately most of the senior lawyers of our country are narrow-minded.

My earnest request is that to ensure natural justice in our country and to enhance the honor in favor of law of the general people, the honorable senior lawyer of country should come forward to make good lawyer and to solve these cases. To do this, they should be broad-minded.
